Terms of Service
Effective: 1 September 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms govern access to and use of VP Sendit, an invite-only service for temporarily storing and transferring encrypted files. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
VP Sendit provides temporary file storage, encrypted transfers, account recovery, multi-factor authentication and QR sign-in. The service is privately administered and is not a permanent archive, backup service or emergency communication system.
2. Eligibility and invitations
You must be at least 16 years old and able to understand these Terms. Invitations are personal, time-limited and intended only for the recipient. You may not sell, publish or misuse an invitation.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password, authenticator access, recovery key and signed-in devices secure. Use accurate account information and notify the administrator who invited you if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts may not be shared or used to impersonate another person. Owners and admins must enable MFA and use elevated rights only to operate and protect the service.
4. Your files
You retain ownership of your content. You authorize VP Sendit and its infrastructure providers to technically receive, store, route and delete encrypted data only as needed to operate the service. You must have the right to upload and send every file you use with the service.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use VP Sendit to:
- store or distribute unlawful, abusive or exploitative material;
- infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
- send malware, phishing material, stolen credentials or harmful code;
- harass others or transfer files without a legitimate recipient;
- bypass security, quotas, rate limits, invitations or access controls;
- probe, disrupt or overload the service without prior authorization.
6. Encryption and recovery
Supported files are encrypted in your browser before upload. VP Sendit normally cannot recover readable files without an unlocked trusted device or the recovery key. If you lose your password, recovery key and every trusted device, your encrypted files may be permanently inaccessible. You are responsible for safely storing the recovery key.
7. Limits and deletion
Current limits include 50 MiB per file, 500 stored files and 2 GiB of account storage. Inbox transfers are intended to expire after 24 hours. Stored files are temporary and are subject to the configured Cloudflare R2 deletion lifecycle. You should always keep your own copy of important files.
8. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated to protect users, comply with law, respond to misuse or maintain the service. Where reasonably possible, the administrator will explain the reason. You may request account deletion through the administrator who invited you.
9. Availability and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise of uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, the administrator is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or loss caused by relying on VP Sendit as the only copy of a file. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes
These Terms may change when the service or applicable rules change. The effective date and version will be updated. Material changes will be communicated through the service or through the administrator where reasonably possible.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without limiting mandatory rights that apply to you. For questions, complaints or account requests, contact the VP Sendit administrator who provided your invitation through the same communication channel.
